I’m legit looking forward to someone applying electronic scooter activation tech to the grocery cart space.
My grocery cart inevitably locks up when I’m still at least 10-20ft from my car and have 5 or more overloaded, single-bagged, uh, bags.
The Diamond Heights Safeway needs to re-evaluate the boundaries of its cart, uh, network.
It’s not so much the ferrying of bags across the last few feet as it is the disposal of the disabled cart.

You have to drag it/one-wheel it for a distance so it doesn’t block your car or any neighboring cars.
