If @twitter want's to serve the public conversation & make civic discourse healthy we should do an @NFL-like TV deal with @cspan. #oneteam

I'm not kidding. Watching @jack testify in front of the @HouseCommerce committee I was struck by the relative civility of the interactions.

(sure, there was grandstanding and agenda pushing, but, relative to current standards for online "debate" or "discussion" it was pretty chill)

It'd be awesome to have conversations on Twitter centered around the realtime mechanics and debates of our democratic process...

...instead of the distortions and claims of pundits and public opinion panderers like @FoxNews et al.
