Seriously though, this is at the heart of the wild propaganda pushed by Elon, Sacks, Rabois, et al.
They fear or hate the professionals who staff their tech ventures, but in the current job market tech worker leverage continues to grow.
Tech salaries are astronomical, and more & more knowledge workers share salary info making it harder for employers to retain the upper hand.
Low-key collective action by "the laptop class" is framed as "woke employee" agitation.
Twitter posts by frustrated employees, awkward Q&A sessions & company all-hands: pmarca et al see these things leading to unionization.
All their hand-wringing over "free speech" and "censorship" is just noise intended to rally the right to the cause of billionaires.
Meanwhile they are building “giga-factories” in partnership with *actual* authoritarians and despots around the world.
There's no ideology behind their shitposts. All Musk and the rest of his PayPal Mafia & a16z buddies care about is cheap, exploitable labor.
